was commissioned by the Industria High School Band, Vanderbuilt, TX, J.H. Castellano, conductor. This work is an impressive set of variations on the hymn tune "Praise to the Lord, The Almighty". The opening statement is very majestic, followed by challenging variations. It concludes with an optional antiphonal brass ensemble during the dramatic finale. This work is an exceptional choice for concert finales and impressive ceremonies.

Introduction and Caccia (Gr. 3)
was commissioned by the American Youth Symphony Band and Chorus for the 1987 Delaware Valley Symphonic Band (Media, PA), Bonnie Strang, conductor and their European Goodwill Concert Tour. The international premiere was July 4, 1987, in Dinkelsbuhl, West Germany, with Claude T. Smith conducting. This work is based on two contrasting movements. The introduction is very dramatic and is followed by a vigorous chase (caccia) leading to an exciting finale.

Portland High School, TX, for 25 years of service and dedication to music
education. This work, originally entitled"Jubilesto". was premiered on May
24. 1985. The overture lends itself to the accomplished high school band
and offers solo opportunities to the flute, trumpet, tuba, oboe, and bassoon.
Using contrasting tempo and meter changes, this work will be an ensemble
favorite
and audience pleaser.
